Pantomime 12-19 January 1980 All Saints Church Hall
Sinbad the Sailor
Written and directed by Del Harman
Del Harman’s pantomime, which he wrote and produced, staged at the Parish Hall, Sanderstead, from 12 to 19 January 1980. Sinbad sails from the quay at Constantinople, below decks on his ship, to the Island of Marango, its grotto and the Sleepy Lagoon, then on through the Forest of Marango to the Shrine of Love and Eternal Happiness and a spell in “outer space” before the finale at the Palace of Enchantment back in Constantinople. The Giant Roc Bird, the cast list notes, was played by “himself”.
