Pantomime 14-18 January 1961 All Saints Church Hall
Little Bo Peep
By Peter Simpson. Directed by Nora Herbert
Peter Simpson’s pantomime, written with ideas from Lewis Carroll’s “Through the Looking Glass”, staged at the Parish Hall, Onslow Gardens, Sanderstead, on 14, 16, 17 and 18 January 1961, in the club’s fifty-third year (season 1960-61), directed by Nora Herbert. Its scenes run from the village green, a flower bed in the park and the station to a woodland glade, Humpty Dumpty’s place, a secret passage under the castle and the throne room, ending at the palace. New songs included “I Met You” and “Please Don’t Wake Me” by Rowland Hobbs and “Fairytalia” by Ancliffe Prince.
